joanne fluke cookies

Cocoa Snaps

-Dough must chill before baking

1 ½ c melted butter 3 sticks
2 c cocoa powder (unsweetened)
2 c brown sugar
3 large eggs beaten
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
3 c flour not sifted
½ c white sugar for later


melt butter and mix in cocoa until blended
cool slightly and add in eggs.
Add soda, salt, and vanilla and stir
Add flour and mix thoroughly
Chillin in refridferator for 1 hour
Preheat to 350f middle rack
Roll into walnut-sized balls
Roll balls in the shite sugar
Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes
cool on sheet for 1 or 2 minutes and remove from cookie sheet
 
Pound Cake Plus
Preheat to 325f

1 ½ cups softened butter 3 sticks
2 c white sugar
4 eggs
1 c sour cream
½ baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
2 c cake flour

must chill for 48 hrs. make it 2 days before planing to serve. Can also be baked, colled, and wrapped in plastic wrap, then in foil and freeze untill needed. Makes 2 cakes, serves 6 people. Butter and flour 2-9 in pans
cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time
add sour cream, baking powder and vanilla.
Add flour one cup a time
Backe for 54-50 mintues
Bake, wrap and chillin in fridge for 48 hrs
